Empire Oyster House (Design)
Merrifield, VA

Working closely with Restauranteur/Chef Jeff Black and The Black Restaurant Group (BRG), 2SCALE designed and permitted a new Oyster Bar and Fine Dining concept for them for the new Mosaic District Development in Merrifield, VA. The Design featured a sixty-person Oyster Bar (influenced by La Floridita in Havana), over thirty feet of Illuminated Oyster Displays, a full service Fine Dining Room, and an extensive heated Outdoor Dining Patio. The Design was influenced by 1920’s New York Restaurants and Turn of the Century Speakeasies. Unfortunately, the concept never ended up being built in the Mosaic District, but BRG hopes to bring the concept to another location in the near future.
